Organized under Section 501(c)3 of the U.S. Internal Revenue Service Code of 1986 in 2012, the Foundation currently serves as an Advisory Board to the City of Crystal Springs for the amphitheater project at historic Chautauqua Park. In 2022 the City of Crystal Springs was awarded five hundred thousand dollars by the State of Mississippi Legislature to assist with repairs and improvements at Chautauqua Park to include the Amphitheater. Another five hundred thousand dollars was appropriated by the State legislators for the project during the 2023 legislative session. Chautauqua Arts Foundation, Inc. is working diligently with the City of Crystal Springs to move forward on the next stage of the Amphitheater project. Initial dirt work and tree removal began for the project in the fall of 2022. Many thanks to all of the individuals who have helped us get this far! |
